WEDDING PLANS

The next morning Ame woke to the alarm clock beeping loudly in her ear. She rose from her bed and realized she needed to hurry if she was going to get her blood work done before going to work. She made it to the lab just before the phlebotomist was leaving to go upstairs for his rounds. They were short-handed that morning and the others were spread out over different departments. He found her order and drew her blood into several vials making sure to label them with her information. After he applied the co-ban bandage snugly, Ame left and went to the bakery nearby.

She bought some apple cinnamon bread to take back to the office. Mike and Sherri were waiting for her as she walked in. After she set the bread down on the counter, she walked over to them. Mike waved them back to his office and indicated that Sherri take a seat. Ame closed the door behind her and started to sit down next to Sherri, but Mike grabbed her hand smiling and pulled her over to stand next to him. “Sherri we are going to need you to cover the phones this afternoon. If you want you can take the afternoon off as long as you forward the phones to yours. Ame and I are going to Vegas tonight to get married.” When Staci murmured a surprised congratulation, Mike said, “We’re not telling everyone, so I would appreciate your discretion until after this weekend,” he stated, smiling happily.

Ame smiled back at him and couldn’t prevent the love for him from shining in her eyes. Ame thought, ‘He looks so tired. I hope he got to doze last night for a while at least.’ Ame listened as Sherri and Mike discussed the tasks for this morning and which clients that Mike would be meeting with. He would only need Ame for two of the meetings. They should be done by eleven, giving them time to eat lunch and get to the airport.

At the mention of food, Ame’s stomach rumbled loudly. She flushed with embarrassment as Mike grinned at her. He concluded the short meeting and suggested they get some of the delicious smelling bread that Ame had purchased. They left his office and each got a large slice and something to drink. They chatted amicably for a few more minutes before returning to their desks.

Mike pulled on Ame’s hand gently as he led her back down the hall to his office. As he shut the door, he pulled her into his arms, taking her breath away with a kiss. His lips feasted on hers as if he were starving. As she kissed him back he groaned deeply. Her nipples hardened in response as he ran his hands down her sides to her hips and drew her closer. With his hardness pressing against her, Ame breathed in deeply, moaning. Mike pulled back, breathing heavily, “God, I want you so bad.” When Ame looked at him as if she’d let him continue kissing her.
